My Mission: "I want to improve education and empower children in impoverished areas throughout Peru."
Objectives:
- to raise funds to build new schools or improve existing schools in impoverished areas of Peru
- to support a higher quality of education
- to educate and motivate students to learn and excel beyond the basics, thereby giving them a better opportunity to improve their living conditions and economic status
- to foster family and community involvement
- to teach English to the children to expand their worldly knowledge and to enhance their qualifications for further education/employment
- to provide financial aid for these students, so that they can attend college
- to inspire the social conscience of other educated teenagers and young adults of higher socioeconomic level within Peru to participate and further this program
Initial Goals:
- to continue raising funds to promptly implement the foundation's Objectives
- to continue raising awareness about the foundation within target groups
- to establish a strategic partnership with a local and reputable school operator
- to implement a program that shows immediate results within 12 months
- to begin construction of a school by 2013 that provides:
- a high quality of education
- nutritious meals
- community involvement
- a program that prepares the children for further education through
partnerships with existing private schools, universities, and programs
of higher education
- a "Big Angel" mentoring program for each child until graduation
from secondary school
